How to Make an Appointment for Gift Cards

How to Redeem Your Gift Card

As mentioned before, both you and the recipient will receive emails containing a soft copy of the gift card with a QR code.

To make the most of your gift card:

Make an appointment.
Visit our Carwash Location at 7620 Folsom-Auburn Rd, Folsom, CA 95630.
Show one of the following to the cashier:
– Printed copy of the gift card
– Gift card digital copy or QR Code on your cellphone
– Gift card code along with the receiver’s name and email address
The cashier will redeem the amount equivalent to the gift card price divided by 5 washes.

Lincoln’s birthday is recognized as a legal public holiday in several states, including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and New York, where it is celebrated on his actual birthday, February 12. In other states, Lincoln’s birthday is combined with George Washington’s birthday on the third Monday of February, known either as Washington’s birthday or Presidents’ Day.

The origin of Lincoln’s birthday as a celebration can be traced back to Julius Francis, who initiated the observance in Buffalo, New York, in 1874, with the intention of honoring the life of the assassinated president. Although there were efforts to make it a legal holiday through petitions to Congress, it was never officially recognized. Nevertheless, wreath-laying ceremonies have taken place annually at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., since its dedication in 1922.

In the early 20th century, the celebration of Lincoln’s birthday was often linked with Frederick Douglass’s birthday, which is just two days later on February 14. These celebrations eventually evolved into “Negro History Week,” a precursor to Black History Month, established in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson.

The way Lincoln’s birthday is celebrated varies depending on the state. Some states, such as Connecticut, Missouri, and Illinois, observe February 12 as a state holiday, granting state employees the day off. Others, including Utah, Colorado, Ohio, Montana, and Minnesota, mention Lincoln’s birthday alongside Washington’s on the third Monday of February. In various states like Hawaii, New Mexico, North Dakota, and many others, Lincoln’s birthday is implicitly celebrated under the title “Presidents’ Day.”

During Abraham Lincoln’s Bicentennial in 2009, celebrations were held at the Lincoln Memorial, featuring performances by Michael Feinstein and the U.S. Marine Corps Band. Notable figures, including Senator Dick Durbin, Lincoln scholar and ALBC Co-Chair Harold Holzer, ALBC Commissioner Frank J. Williams, and author Nikki Giovanni, contributed speeches and works dedicated to the bicentennial. Additionally, commemorative pennies were minted to mark the occasion.
