How to Make an Appointment for Gift Cards

  • For those with a 10 – 15 minutes flexibility, simply walk-in for your car wash.
  • To avoid waiting in line, we recommend calling 916-989-3904 and scheduling an appointment before your visit

 

How to Redeem Your Gift Card

As mentioned before, both you and the recipient will receive emails containing a soft copy of the gift card with a QR code.

To make the most of your gift card:

  • Make an appointment.
  • Visit our Carwash Location at 7620 Folsom-Auburn Rd, Folsom, CA 95630.
  • Show one of the following to the cashier:
    – Printed copy of the gift card
    – Gift card digital copy or QR Code on your cellphone
    – Gift card code along with the receiver’s name and email address
  • The cashier will redeem the amount equivalent to the gift card price divided by 5 washes.
  • Enjoy your car wash!

Remember to keep your gift card’s QR code, barcode, serial number, and other details confidential; never share them with anyone else.

Description

Presidents’ Day, also known federally as Washington’s Birthday, is observed on the third Monday in February.

This holiday is intended to honor the birthdays of George Washington and, to a lesser extent, Abraham Lincoln. It has become well-known for its sales and is also associated with winter vacations for schools.

Origin
Presidents’ Day primarily commemorates George Washington’s birthday, which falls on February 22. Additionally, it serves as a remembrance for other presidents, most notably Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday is also in February. Initially, the holiday was established in 1879 by an act of Congress to be observed in government offices within Washington D.C. It was later extended to government offices nationwide in 1885. Previously, it was celebrated on George Washington’s actual birthday, February 22, until the Uniform Monday Holiday Act was enacted on January 1, 1971, moving Presidents’ Day to the third Monday in February.

An effort to create a “President’s Day” was made in 1951 by Harold Stonebridge Fischer, intending to honor the presidency as an institution. Originally, this day was proposed to coincide with inauguration day, March 4. However, it was deemed too close to Washington’s birthday by the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has authority over national holidays. While there was an attempt to rename Washington’s Birthday to Presidents’ Day in an early draft of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, it did not succeed in committee. The term “Presidents’ Day” gained popularity in the mid-1980s largely due to advertisers.

Celebrations
Modern-day celebrations of Presidents’ Day often revolve around sales events, especially by car dealers and retailers. While businesses used to be closed on Washington’s Birthday until the late 1980s, most now remain open. However, delivery services outside of the U.S. Postal Service typically continue to operate. Schools often schedule winter breaks, lasting around one week, to coincide with Presidents’ Day. Additionally, some use this holiday to commemorate soldiers, similar to Veterans Day and Memorial Day.
